Get a jump-start on National Hobby Month (January)!
Out with the old and in with the re-newed, as we craft our way into a green 2011! This winter, join us as we make beads out of paper and create new jewelry out of broken and neglected old pieces. It’s always fun to be eco-friendly at TCL! We’ve also added day and night sections of our knit and crochet workshops, in several different levels — something for every busy schedule. So, start your year off right by treating yourself or someone you love (classes make a great last-minute holiday gift!) to one of our great workshops: TCL Class Schedule
Learn how to make upcycled mini trees…
We sold a ton of these trees last year (well, maybe not a TON, but you get the idea). I think it’s time to share the secret of how to make these cuties. So, on Thursday, December 9 from 8-9PM, we show you how! Feel free to bring in a felted wool sweater (call us if you have questions), or use one of ours. We’ll also supply you with vintage ornaments and glitter to make these trees extra-special. This is a fun craft that ANYONE can do, promise. We have a few spaces left, so if you’d like to sign up, please e-mail us: info@thecraftlounge.com, call us: 201-944-3311, or better yet, stop by! See you soon…

Do you hate knitting with double-pointed needles? Well, Kathy will be holding a class next Monday that will teach you how to knit in the round without them. It’s magical! She’s betting that you’ll be so into “magic loop knitting” that you’ll be inspired to knit a toasty pair of socks. Here are the details:
Monday, October 25 from 7:30PM to 9:00PM ($25)
We’ll be taking reservations for the class until Friday evening. If you’d like to sign up, please call: 201/944-3311, e-mail: info@thecraftlounge.com or visit our handy-dandy website: http://thecraftlounge.com/. I feel loopy already.

Shrinkymobiles!
What could be better than a cool mobile? A mobile made from shrink plastic and chopsticks, that’s what! The Tuesday Craft Club crew spent yesterday afternoon busily drawing away. Next week, we’ll assemble their mobiles. These will look so great hanging in the kids’ rooms!
