Do you have a passion for fashion? Join us at The Craft Lounge for an exciting hands-on fashion and design sketching program. This course also includes fabric rendering, creative inspiration, designing a coordinated grouping, and presentation layout.

Week 2: Developing the Fashion Croquis: Creating Varied Poses — Students create a fashion layout of 3-4 poses.

Week 3: Design Inspiration — Using Mondrian as inspiration, students design a mini collection of swim suits.

Week 4: Design Development — Students create a coordinated mix & match grouping with denim as the featured fabric.

Week 5: Fabric Rendering — Denim, polka dots, stripes, lace, sheer, checks & plaids.

Week 6: Creating the “Professional” Fashion Presentation of their Denim Collection — Mood board, fabric, board, design board.

We are thrilled to welcome teacher Camille Aponte, who brings 25 years of experience in the fashion industry to TCL. February & March at TCL

Our famous Felt Bunnies workshop for kids is back!

It may not feel like it out there, but February has arrived, and March is just around the corner. We’ve got some great workshops happening during both months.  Come on by for a Spa Night — we had requests for a new one before the last one was even over! Or, let us show you how to refresh your look by turning old or broken jewelry into brand new show-stoppers with our Reinvent Your Jewelry class. We’ve even got a couple of new specialized knit & crochet classes with Shaina, plus Decoupage Treasure Box workshops for both kids and adults.
Also, there’s still space in Classmate Valentines (leave the glue and glitter to us and keep it off your dining room table!) and Beaded Earrings. And, of course, don’t forget about Drop-in Saturdays!

DROP-IN SATURDAY: Sachets

Come in out of the forecasted snow and make up a few little sachets with us. These sachets are easy to make and, stuffed with our homegrown lavender, they’ll make your dresser drawer (or someone else’s — they make a great little Valentine’s Day gift) smell like a French garden. So join us anytime between 12:00pm – 5:00pm on Saturday, January 21, and we’ll get you started! $20

DROP-IN SATURDAY: Felt Wreath Ornaments

It’s official: holiday crafting season has begun at The Craft Lounge. We’re starting off things with this fun wreath ornament. These little guys are easy to make and sure dress up a tree (or even a coat, if you put a pin on the wreath!). So join us anytime between 12:00pm – 5:00pm on Saturday, November 12, and we’ll show you how to make a few of these for yourself. $20

New Class!

UPCYCLE IT:
Bike Tire & Pop Tab Belts and Headbands (Kids)

Monday, November 14, 3:00pm – 4:00pm $25

Our Green-Crafting Guru, Ms. Karen, is back and she’s giving new life to bike tires and extra-large pop tabs. Join us as she shows us how to transform these usually discarded materials into a fashion-forward belt and headband. Save the Earth, one craft at a time!

DROP-IN SATURDAY: Hand-stitched Greeting Cards

Needles and thread aren’t just for fabric! Drop in anytime between 12:00am – 5:00pm on Saturday, October 1, and we’ll show you how to make one-of-a-kind embroidered greeting cards worthy of framing. Use the patterns we provide or design your own. No sewing experience necessary. ($20 for 3 cards)

Make a Hula Hoop!

This weekend, our Drop-in Saturday craft is one that’s fun for kids and grown-ups alike. That’s right, we’re making hula hoops — great outdoor plaything for kids and the hottest new fitness craze for adults! Drop in on Saturday, September 24th between 12:00pm – 5:00pm, and we’ll show you how to make one for yourself. $20
