We hope you’re enjoying these last days of summer. We certainly are, but we’re also looking forward to all the great classes we’ve got lined up for the fall.

 

Our new schedule includes two 4-week sessions of  TCL Craft Club, Drop-in Saturdays (including hula hoops!), and Shaina’s Mixed Bag Knit & Crochet, which is now being offered on Monday evenings, in addition to our regular Wednesday mornings. Marilyn Fernandez is also back with scrapbooking and other paper crafts for both adults and kids.

 

New this month are our UPCYCLE IT! workshops with “green” crafting expert Karen Valido. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to make cool new objects out of materials like bike tires and soda pop tabs. Join us for all this and more:

Taking a little vacation…

TCL will be closed from August 10th through August 30th. We hope you enjoy those last BBQs and days at the beach, and we look forward to seeing you all on August 31st.

 

We’ll be mailing the fall class schedule out soon.  Craft Club will return on Thursdays, and we’ll be unveiling some brand new classes as well. Thanks, as always, for your support.  Now, go have some fun!

 

DROP-IN SATURDAY:Beading!

Beading is one of our most popular crafts. Drop in anytime between 12:00pm – 5:00pm on Saturday, July 16, and we’ll have all our best beads and findings on hand for you to turn into trendy jewelry. Make a necklace, bracelet & earrings, cell phone charms, a set of memory wire rings, or 2 pairs of earrings. Oh, and did we mention we’ve got the air conditioning on? ($20)

DROP-IN SATURDAY:Embellish Your Flip-Flops

 

 

Summer is in full swing! Bring in a pair of plain rubber flip-flops anytime between 12:00 – 5:00 on Saturday, July 2nd, and let us help you make them fancy. When you’re finished, you’ll walk out looking like a star in your new shoes. ($20 per pair)

 

Don’t have a pair of flip-flops to decorate? No worries, we have a limited selection available for purchase. ($5 per pair)

 

DROP-IN SATURDAY: Shrinky Dink® Charms

 

 

Everyone loves Shrinky Dinks®! Drop in anytime today (6/25) between 12:00pm – 5:00pm to use this awesome material to make charms you can turn into jewelry, (like Judy’s earrings pictured above), magnets, ID tags, and more. ($20 for 6 charms)

 

Drop-In Saturday: Glass Marble Magnets

 

It’s time to drop in and make something new at The Craft Lounge again! Join us anytime between 12:00pm – 5:00pm on Saturday, June 11, to make one of our favorites, glass marble magnets. We’ll have everything you need on hand, including different sized glass, decorative papers, and magazines & catalogs ready for repurposing. Magnets are great for Father’s Day, graduation, and teacher gifts, but they’re so cute you’ll want to keep some for yourself! ($20 for 10 magnets)

 

DROP-IN SATURDAY Hand-Stitched Greeting Cards

Needles and thread aren’t just for fabric! Drop in anytime between 11:00am – 3:00pm on Saturday, May 28, and we’ll show you how to make one-of-a-kind embroidered greeting cards worthy of framing. Use the patterns we provide (including some for graduation and Father’s Day!) or design your own. No sewing experience necessary. ($20 for 3 cards)

Try your hand at glass etching!

 

Once you learn how to do this fun craft, you won’t want to stop. Use the votives and tumblers we provide, or bring your own glass object to etch. We will provide everything else you need and get you started on your new favorite hobby.
